I was informed today of another muppet who has ripped off my site design today. Not much more to say than that.

This time round, I decided that the fairest way to settle this would be to just invoice Eric for my costs, which I have done via email. I'm just waiting now to hear back from him regarding his chosen payment method.

A little overdue, but I am now back home and fully functional after the trip to Japan. I have been busy going through my feedreader, (BTW, recent versions of NewsFire play nicer with big hits, no freezing with close to 1000 new articles!) Emails, site statistics etc. If you have emailed me recently, you should hear from me within the next couple of days.

I will make a proper post soon, but suffice to say, Japan was just as good second time round. I bought a new camera, a PSP, got a mighty mouse, fell in love with the iPod nano and generally had fun.

36 Degrees live widget

For those of us lucky enough to be using OS X 10.4 (tiger), I have whipped up a dashboard widget which shows the info from the feeds here, both for the forums, and the website itself. If you want to repurpose it, go ahead, I did just that with another widget, you'll just need to view the contents of the package and change the link to the feed and the graphics of course.

As far as I know, it works flawlessly, except for loading specific blog entries, there is a long standing problem with my feed generator that means it just goes to the homepage at present, I'm not going to be sorting that out anytime soon, though it isn't really an issue for the widgets purposes.

Yes! finally, some scumbag has decided I'm worthy of being ripped off. I sound happy don't I. I'm not, I'm incredibly pissed off. I spend god knows how long making something which I think is a fine piece of work, and some scumbag goes and copies it. and they didnt even copy it well, or remove my images from it. Yes, mister scumbag, You are showing up in my referrers, you son of a bitch. Podcasting is great. Im hooked, there are shitloads of good podcasts, and original music ready to be included in them. One thing I've been thinking of for a while, is a new way of putting music into podcasts. For me the one thing that gets me going back to radio is the artists themselves appearing to talk about their songs, their influences and generally have a natter. Music is more than just listening, it's about feeling...

Lazing on a sunny afternoon

A great day here in Liverpool today. The weather was fantastic, so I took the opportunity to go and catch some rays. I walked the mammoth journey (across the street) to the Metropolitan Cathedral where there is a really nice cafe. I managed to get through pretty much all of the book I've been meaning to read for ages, 'Dance, Dance, Dance' by my favourite author Haruki Murakami...
