A touch of class on my desktop

written by Stuart on March 20th, 2006

Following on from Simon Collisons post on the same subject, I couldn't help myself, and sent an email to Jeremy Harrington over at Crawlspace|Media to see if he would be so kind as to create an icon for my football club, the mighty Coventry City. Being the gentleman that he is, Jeremy obliged, and my desktop is now adorned with a new hard-drive icon. Behold the glory which is the crest of coventry city football club.

CCFC club crest icon in finder window

horrid new city badgeThe crest itself nearly didn't exist when, last year, executives at the club, in what they called 'bringing the club into the twenty-first century', brought forward a new logo, only for fan power to have our proud crest restored.

As Simon said, don't expect Jeremy to be willing to make a logo for your third rate football, luckily, I'm a Coventry fan, and my club are first rate, in my own distorted mind if not in the league ladder. Thank you Jeremy, you are a legend. As for Coventry City, we currently lay 9th in the Championship, and are looking towards next season with an eye on promotion.

I’m sorry, I’m sure you just described Coventry as being “Mighty”. Surely that was my imagination?

You heard right Rutty, it’s science fact, we are the greatest football team in the midlands, bar none, especially none from the east midlands!
