There are a few things I've been meaning to mention in some depth for a while, but it seems I'm perennially busy at the minute with university, and thus haven't had the time. So, in brief, some things I have been meaning to make light of…
1. I have a great idea
I can't tell you what it is (obviously), but trust me, it's good. It needs a lot more thought and research before I know it anything will ever come of it, but if it does, I think it could become very, very popular with a very large number of web users.
2. Work
As I just mentioned, I've been really busy with uni work for the past month or so, and as such I've done little real client work, which is crap. I'm missing being able to spend days and nights hammering away coding up designs for websites, or making widgets. Hopefully after Christmas my workload will return to such a level where I can start doing design work a bit more regularly.
3. Music
As my last.fm profile attests, I've been listening to a lot of Regina Spektor. I can't remember where I heard her first, but I'm really becoming something of a fan. Also, whilst I'm on the subject, feel free to befriend me on last.fm, but be aware, that the minute you play anything slightly un-credible - I'll be watching..
The more voyeuristic of you amongst you - my modest readership - might also have noticed the lack of new recordings being added to the Occasional Odeo Audio podcast. Truth is, I've felt less interested in recording stuff since my band-mate buggered off to Japan for a year, and right now, I don't even have my guitar with me. Hopefully I'll regain some passion for singing/playing after the holidays, and start writing/recording again.
4. Cool stuff
- Seeing Seafood play live in Liverpool, some 5 years after I last saw them live.
- My nokia E61, and the two very cool cases I will be writing a review on shortly
- BBC2 repeating This Life, and an upcoming Christmas Special.
- Thanks to the wonders of the internets, being able to watch Dexter and Heroes, two of my new favourite TV shows from the US
- My two oldest younger sisters swanning off to New Zealand for a year or two. Them doing crazy things like jumping out of helicopters and jumping down caves.
- My baby sister turning 15. Scary.
- Playing 5-a-side football with the Nagoya Grampus Five boys. Awesome.
That is all for now, I promise I'll write something real at some point soon.

Did you know Miss Spektor was at Truck this year? Not going is being added to my list of regretssss :(
Don’t work too hard mate.
Life, as they say, is for a limited time only.

I didn’t know she had played truck. Thanks for that, you just made my day you bastard ;)
Gladly I got my first piece of coursework finished today, so I’m having an evening off.
Hey BB! Just thought as we keep missing eachothers calls i’d leave a message here as you’d be sure to see it. Jumping out of a plane is the coolest thing ever, you should definately give it a try. P.S I want to know what this great idea is

Boo ya! Just watched a bunch of Regina Spektor videos on youtube on your recommendation- wow. Amazing scenes. Nice to see someone not afraid to break the mould and try something different! Amazing voice, great lyrics, catchy melodies and little flavour of something special. Gorgeous too.
