Me and Music

By the time I reached senior school I had begun to take a more serious interest in music, and began to amass what has become a stupidly large CD collection. It was here that I first started to write and perform. Along with my friends and classmates, I was part of a short-lived but highly entertaining band, who's performances were restricted to end of term days or after lessons.

From a very young age I was always fascinated by music. I would memorize the order of tracks on the cassettes in my parents cars and shout out the titles as they came. I used to sing along to anything, anywhere, and got a lot of enjoyment out of music. By the time I started at primary school I had started to sing, dreaming like all eight year olds do of being a super rich, super famous singer. I performed some of the most cringe-worthy songs in those years, from 'My old man, said follow the van', dressed like Fred Dibnah at an English holiday resort, to 'Here in bonny Scotland', in a kilt, with bagpipes, and a surprisingly convincing Scottish accent.

Original material

Some original stuff. These three songs have been featured on BBC collective, which is nice. The quality of recording varies, some are studio recorded, others using my iMac and internal mic. My favourite of the lot at the minutes is 'Not bad, Just Ordinary', which I wrote recorded a few months ago with my guitar totting friend Ben, its cool - give it a listen. I have some more lying about somewhere on my 'puta, I'll upload them shortly.

  1. Defence of the realm
  2. Love Song
  3. Not bad, Just ordinary
  4. Will they fall NEW!
